Come join Warren Swaffield and his team at Cassia Restaurant for a fantastic dining experience in the heart of the Durbanville Winelands. Our beautiful restaurant is situated on the Nitida Wine Farm, that is just as breathtaking. Our name is derived form an Asian spice, quite similar to cinnamon, called Cassia. The bold and alluring taste of this spice is represented through both the style and the food at our restaurant.
Cassia is renowned as a first class, country venue for dining, conferencing & special events. Overlooking the farm dam, you are able to enjoy modern and stylish food, whilst watching over the precious landscape. The wines produced on Nitida is the perfect companion to the dishes served here, giving you the full dining experience.
The Cassia Restaurant is open from Mondays to Saturdays for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and On Sundays for Breakfast & Lunch.
Although our food is stylishly prepared, the atmosphere is still relaxing and friendly. We have tried to cater for a lot of different appetites and fancies with our menu’s. Our aim is to make use of local and seasonal ingredients. Who wouldn’t like to try something as exotic as a Miso-based Thai green curry? And what better way to end things off than with a delicious dessert like a White Chocolate and Bay Leaf crème brûlée?
Our venue options include two gorgeous function rooms:
- The Sage Room – catering for 20 people, this room serves as a great option for intimate occasions.
- The Saffron Room – this room serves for your larger functions, seating up to 200 people.
